Metaview, operating from London and San Francisco, has secured $60m in Series C funding to accelerate its AI-powered recruiting platform. Insight Partners led the round, with participation from GV, Intrepid Growth Partners, Seedcamp, Vertex Ventures US, Plural and Garuda Ventures, according to a statement released Wednesday. The investment brings the company's total capital raised to $110m, arriving roughly a year after its previous funding round.

The startup's recruiting tools are already in use across more than 7,000 organisations. Metaview intends to expand its headcount from 80 to 250 employees by the close of next year and establish operations in New York, complementing its existing London and San Francisco presence.

The best engineering teams have already moved from writing code by hand to orchestrating AI agents that do the work. Recruiting is next.

From interview notes to agents

Magos and Shahriar Tajbakhsh, both previously at Uber and Palantir respectively, established Metaview in 2018. The platform initially focused on recording job interviews and has now captured more than 6 million conversations. Its AI agents now handle candidate sourcing, application screening against job specifications and structured interview conversations, with humans retaining control over criteria-setting and final hiring decisions.

Customers of Metaview include Deel, Affirm, Navan and Replit. The company reports that certain clients have reduced their hiring timelines by more than 75%. In August, Metaview acquired Reval, an AI-native recruiting platform.

What the money is for

The funding will support the general availability of fillmore, Metaview's autonomous recruiting coworker. This agent identifies candidates, crafts outreach messages, manages communication threads and schedules screening interviews. The company is simultaneously developing additional agents, including a specialised AI screening agent, as outlined by Magos in a recent blog post.

In one example Magos highlighted, AI sourcing, research and outreach efforts reached 52 candidates and resulted in five scheduled screens. The eventual hire progressed from initial contact to signed offer within 30 days.

Beyond product development, Metaview is scaling 10x Recruiting, its community and educational initiative for recruiting professionals. The company will also establish its New York office to join its teams in London and San Francisco.

The recruiting process is generating more candidate volume than most organizations know how to handle.

Metaview enters a competitive landscape where other AI hiring platforms are also attracting investment. Spott recently closed a $21m Series A round backed by Balderton, while Jack & Jill raised $40m to deploy AI agents on both sides of the hiring equation. A recent survey indicated that UK employers express the greatest hesitation toward AI adoption in recruitment processes.
