Nayara, a UK-based healthcare AI firm, has raised a pre-seed round led by SFC Capital, an early-stage investor operating in the UK. The capital will fuel development and scaling of its AI-driven platform, which aims to strengthen patient communication and support during the intervals between scheduled clinical visits.

The startup builds AI companions tailored for hospitals, healthcare networks and medical device manufacturers. These systems deliver customised advice and keep clinical staff informed about patient circumstances outside the hospital setting.

A significant portion of healthcare unfolds beyond hospital walls, yet patients frequently encounter medical uncertainties and questions between appointments without prompt access to professional guidance. Simultaneously, healthcare teams juggle routine patient inquiries alongside their core duties, often lacking clear insight into how patients are faring between office visits.

Nayara's response centres on AI companions that handle routine questions, supply tailored guidance and emotional reassurance, and initiate proactive outreach to patients. The system also spots issues and requests demanding clinical attention, routing them to the right departments.

By taking over routine back-and-forth communication and surfacing information about patient circumstances, the platform seeks to lighten the administrative burden on healthcare workers and enable them to concentrate on critical follow-up interventions.

Gal Moore, Nayara's co-founder and chief executive, observes that medical technology has advanced considerably, yet patient support mechanisms have not kept pace with these developments.

We started Nayara with a simple belief: no patient should feel alone in their healthcare journey. No warning sign should go unaddressed because the clinical team lacked the information, or the time, to act

The company's development draws on perspectives from medical practitioners, patients themselves, caregivers who have supported ill family members and artificial intelligence specialists. This blend of clinical expertise, lived experience and technical knowledge shapes how the platform evolves.

Nayara's technology is currently deployed across multiple clinical domains, notably oncology. Its AI companion for breast cancer patients has already assisted hundreds of individuals.

The fresh investment will accelerate platform improvements, enable clinical testing and strengthen the company's commercial expansion efforts.
