A developer infrastructure startup based in Zurich has closed a $42 million Series B funding round, moving remarkably fast—the round came just seven months after the company completed its Series A. Namespace operates a platform designed to accelerate the build and test workflows that software teams rely on daily. The company's core offering targets engineering organizations seeking to streamline their development velocity while avoiding the burden of managing underlying infrastructure.
Hugo Santos, a former principal engineer at Google who founded Namespace in 2022, is positioning the platform as critical infrastructure for AI coding agents. His vision centers on enabling developers and AI agents to build, test and execute code at greater speed. The funding announcement arrives as coding agents have begun meaningfully reducing the time required to write software.
Scale Venture Partners led the Series B round, with additional participation from 20VC, NEA, Essence, and Burst Capital. The round also attracted backing from angel investors, including Olivier Pomel, chief executive of Datadog.
The capital will support two primary objectives: accelerating the pace of product development and expanding Namespace's own compute and server infrastructure.
I started Namespace because I believe developers deserve better. At Google, I saw how much great tools & infrastructure changes the way developers work. Outside of a handful of companies, that still doesn't exist. My vision is to make that experience the default for every fast-moving company. We're starting where developers and their agents spend the entire day: coding and Continuous Integration.
Hugo Santos, founder of Namespace
Namespace currently works with a range of organizations spanning multiple sectors, including SpaceXAI, Ramp, Framer, ElevenLabs and Vanta.
