The head of corporate communications at Nvidia has stepped down following a stint of approximately four months at the company, according to reporting by Geoff Weiss in Business Insider. Anna Soellner, whose background includes leading communications efforts at Reddit during its initial public offering, took on the position around June, as indicated by information on her LinkedIn account. Mylene Mangalindan, who oversees the communications function, was Soellner's direct supervisor, Axios reported in July.

The circumstances surrounding her departure remain unclear.

A busy four months

Soellner's time at Nvidia coincided with a period of rapid expansion and intense public attention on the company. During her tenure, Nvidia announced an agreement to acquire Hugging Face in a transaction valued at nearly $13bn. The firm also disclosed quarterly revenue figures reaching $96bn, Business Insider noted.

Upon joining, Soellner expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating she was "honoured to help tell the story of one of the world's most consequential companies".

From Reddit to Nvidia

Prior to her appointment at Nvidia, Soellner spent more than eight years managing communications operations at Reddit, where she played a key role in navigating the platform's 2024 transition to public markets. Her professional background also encompasses positions at the Motion Picture Association and the Center for American Progress, as well as a senior advisory role within the US Treasury.

Nvidia declined to provide a statement in response to Business Insider's inquiry.
