French software maker Pigment has announced a $250 million Series E funding round that values the company at $2.3 billion. The investment was led by Scaleup Europe Fund, a €5 billion ($5.6 billion) initiative from the EU designed to nurture the continent's next generation of technology leaders.
Pigment, headquartered in Paris, develops a business planning platform that enables enterprises to manage financial planning, operational strategy and forecasting. The platform competes with established players including Microsoft Excel, SAP, IBM and Anaplan.
The Series E round was led by Scaleup Europe Fund, which is managed by EQT. World Innovation Labs, a venture capital firm based in Palo Alto and Tokyo, also participated in the round. Returning investors Greenoaks, Iconiq, IVP and Meritech joined the financing, alongside a contribution from Nvidia, whose involvement was previously disclosed. This round follows Pigment's Series D in 2024, which raised $145 million and was led by Iconiq.
The company counts major multinational corporations among its customers, including Siemens and Unilever, as well as prominent artificial intelligence companies such as Anthropic and ElevenLabs. Pigment integrates AI capabilities into its platform and intends to deploy the new capital toward accelerating research and development while scaling up its engineering workforce.
Enterprise planning will change more in the next few years than it has in the last thirty. Legacy tools are being left behind, and the world's most advanced AI companies now run their planning on Pigment. With the backing of our investors, we are moving fast to make autonomous planning a reality for every enterprise. With AI agents running planning workflows end to end and turning decisions into action, companies can respond to change as fast as it happens.

The Scaleup Europe Fund was created to strengthen investment activity across Europe's technology sector as the region works to narrow the competitive gap with the United States and China in technological innovation. Beyond Pigment, the fund's portfolio includes artificial intelligence company Mistral and satellite imaging firm Iceye.
