RapidCanvas has closed a $29M Series B funding round to accelerate its mission of delivering AI-powered applications to enterprise clients. Vertex Ventures SEA & India led the investment, with Hitachi Ventures as a new participant. Earlier backers including Accel, Peak XV Partners, Valley Capital Partners, and Titanium Ventures also participated in the round, bringing the Austin startup's cumulative funding to $52.5M since its $16M Series A in December 2024.
The company operates by pairing proprietary AI agent technology with its own team of field engineers who work directly with clients to understand their operations and develop tailored AI applications. These custom-built apps can integrate with and modify existing enterprise systems such as CRM and ERP platforms.
RapidCanvas has demonstrated significant growth momentum, with annual recurring revenue expanding eightfold over the last six quarters, though the startup declined to disclose specific revenue numbers or its current valuation. The company reported that more than 75 enterprises have deployed its applications during the past year.
AI can be the great equalizer, but so far its biggest wins have gone to the Fortune 100

The fresh capital will support expansion of the company's sales operations and partnerships with private equity firms and strategic advisers. RapidCanvas plans to expand its engineering workforce across three regions: the United States, Brazil, and India.
A key focus for the company involves strengthening its Enterprise Context Engine, a system that captures and stores client-specific business rules and definitions for use by its AI applications. Other startups are pursuing similar solutions in this space; Uvi, for instance, raised $7.5M to equip AI agents with organizational context capabilities.
The investment reflects broader investor enthusiasm for enterprise-focused AI tools. Dust, another player in this category, has raised $40M to enable teams to collaborate using AI capabilities in workplace settings.
