NewSchool VC, a Belgian venture capital outfit, has wrapped up its inaugural fund at €10 million, targeting early-stage B2B technology ventures with a particular focus on the Belgian market. The fund achieved its target following an initial close of €6.1 million in September.

The vehicle draws backing from roughly 50 investors spanning six family offices—including The Millers Office—alongside prominent Belgian business figures. Among these are Willem Delbaere and Roeland Delrue from Aikido Security, Jean-Louis Van Houwe of Monizze, and Luc Coopman of Cobofisk. Founder Christophe Morbee has personally committed 25 per cent of the fund's capital.

NewSchool's investment thesis centers on pre-seed and seed-stage B2B technology plays. To date, the fund has deployed capital across 32 companies, with three additional deals in advanced stages. Geographically, approximately 75 per cent of investments land in Belgium, while the remainder scatter across Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, France and the UK.

Morbee established NewSchool following years of angel investing activity. He concurrently leads besox, a Belgian payroll and HR software company operating with 110 staff members and serving around 4,000 small and medium-sized enterprises. The firm leverages this client base to introduce portfolio companies to potential customers.

Beyond capital deployment, NewSchool pairs funding with hands-on support spanning go-to-market strategy, sales execution and narrative development. The firm concentrates on technology ventures targeting the digitization of longstanding industries.

The fund's current portfolio encompasses Warren, Spotable, Cashfeed, Ravical, Donna, Dalton, Feedelity, Alice Law and Exhibitly. Recent additions to the roster include Talentir, a Swiss startup, and Paris-based Outline.
