Spotable, a construction technology platform that streamlines measurement and quotation workflows for contractors while bridging connections to distributors and manufacturers, has secured €4 million in seed funding. The Ghent-based firm intends to deploy these resources toward product development and geographic expansion across Europe and North America.
Investment broker The Harbour orchestrated the funding round, which drew backing from Jonas Dhaenens (team.blue), Christophe Morbee (NewSchool.vc), the family office of Hilde Cloostermans and Philip Corens, and Arne Vandendriessche, former CEO of Signpost and current CEO of Get Driven.
Spotable emerged in 2024 through the efforts of Sebastien Vandendriessche (CEO), Julie Dumoulin (CRO) and Pieter-Jan Philips (CTO). The team released an initial platform version within three months and began commercial operations approximately one year ago, initially targeting roofing contractors.
Addressing manual workflows in construction
The construction sector remains heavily reliant on manual processes. Roofers typically dedicate roughly eight hours per project to on-site measurement and quote preparation. According to Spotable, many contractors still rely on spreadsheet-based quotation systems and must physically visit prospective job sites before determining project viability.
Software for roofers wasn't exactly the obvious foundation for an international technology company eighteen months ago. That's precisely where we saw an opportunity: giving contractors technology that's fast, reliable and easy to use. No more paperwork, just real results.

How the platform works
Spotable leverages geographic information systems and artificial intelligence to digitally measure structures from their addresses and generate 3D representations. The system calculates material quantities, retrieves pricing data, produces quotations and facilitates the ordering process.
The platform has evolved beyond its roofing origins into a multi-stakeholder ecosystem. Contractors employ it for quantity calculations and quote generation, distributors integrate their product catalogs and pricing structures, and manufacturers position their offerings within contractors' decision-making workflows.
Expansion strategy
Having established operations in Belgium and the Netherlands, Spotable intends to pursue larger European construction markets. France and Germany represent priority targets, where the company plans to recruit construction firms and forge partnerships with distributors and manufacturers.
North American expansion is already underway. Spotable has tested its offering at industry trade shows and established initial commercial operations in the United States.
