The maker community is converging on Rome this autumn. From October 23rd through 25th, Maker Faire Rome will draw together builders, technologists, educators, and innovators for a three-day celebration of hands-on creation and cutting-edge projects. Arduino is returning as a Gold Sponsor, occupying booth N.02 with live experiments, stage presentations, special pricing, and unreleased hardware ready for exploration.
Live demonstrations and collaborative projects
Visitors to the Arduino booth will encounter several flagship initiatives. A Tangible Tech demonstration powered by the Arduino VENTUNO Q board will showcase physical AI in action, revealing how supported hardware processes inputs and reacts to physical contact with minimal delay. Additionally, Arduino has partnered with STMicroelectronics to present a collaborative social robot demo, which will be visible at both the Arduino and ST booths. STMicroelectronics will also display industrial monitoring systems, e-scooters, and edge sensing technology, with a joint presentation scheduled at the ST booth stage.
Hardware to explore and test
The booth will feature several products available for hands-on testing:
- Arduino UNO Q and VENTUNO Q: Dual-brain boards combining real-time microcontroller operation with Linux environments and on-device AI processing
- UNO Q DIY Synth Bundle: A music-focused kit demonstrating how digital signal processing and Python can power custom synthesizer development
- Arduino USB Camera: A newly launched tool designed for computer vision applications and practical sensing
- Additional unreleased products to be announced during the event
Attendees who subscribe to Arduino's newsletter at the booth will receive a 10% reduction on future hardware orders.
AI education partnerships
Arduino's commitment to education extends to artificial intelligence training at the fair. Qualcomm Academy representatives will join the booth to introduce new certification programs aimed at developers seeking to build AI expertise in deployment across compatible edge platforms. This initiative reflects Arduino's long-standing dedication to equipping students and educators with practical electronic learning tools.
Stage presentations and keynotes
Arduino will deliver two significant presentations during the event:
- "From UNO Q to VENTUNO Q: Arduino's First Year with Qualcomm" – Stefano Implicito, Marketing Director at Arduino, October 23 at 4:30 PM. This talk will examine how Arduino and Qualcomm Technologies are advancing edge AI and democratizing computing capabilities.
- "One Year of Projects with Arduino UNO Q" – Massimo Banzi, Arduino Co-founder, October 24 at 4:00 PM. Banzi will highlight community-created projects developed with UNO Q during its inaugural year, offering a repeat opportunity for those who missed his presentation at Maker Faire Bay Area.
Attending the event
Tickets for Maker Faire Rome must be purchased online in advance through the official Maker Faire Rome website, as no physical ticket sales will occur at the venue. Attendees are encouraged to visit booth N.02 to connect with the Arduino team and share details about their current projects.
