Invesco, which oversees $2.5T in client assets, has partnered with Anthropic to embed its model portfolios and practice tools directly into Claude for Financial Advisors. The integration, announced on Tuesday, arrives as Anthropic expands its footprint in the financial services sector and comes amid growing momentum from other fintech firms doing the same.

The new connector enables financial advisers to access Invesco's portfolio data, research materials and firm-building guidance without leaving Claude's interface. Advisers can either deploy Invesco's pre-configured portfolios or construct tailored versions using the firm's resources. The tool also includes a referral program with prepared talking points for advisers to use with clients.

Clint Harris, who leads Invesco's solutions and custom strategies division, stated: "We are excited to roll out Claude-connectivity, which will allow existing model advisors to have greater access." The company emphasized that the feature serves an educational purpose and does not constitute investment advice, cautioning users that AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies or rely on outdated information and should be verified independently.

Anthropic launched Claude for Financial Advisors in September as part of a broader financial services strategy that began earlier in May. The platform integrates Claude with the portfolio management, research and planning systems that advisers already depend on daily.

Invesco's integration is part of a larger trend. CAIS, Conquest and FINNY—all software providers serving the advisory community—each rolled out their own Claude connectors this week, according to WealthManagement.com. The announcements coincided with Anthropic's filing for an initial public offering.

Anthropic faces competition in the AI-for-finance space. London-based MDOTM, whose artificial intelligence platform serves institutions including Morgan Stanley and Amundi, secured $27M in funding during July.
