The Salesforce chief executive announced on Friday that the company's AIForce agent platform would be rebranded as SIForce, marking the latest corporate embrace of terminology promoted by the Trump administration. The shift applies solely to the agent platform itself, leaving Salesforce's corporate identity unchanged.
"The era of Super Intelligence is here. AIForce is officially SIForce," Benioff declared on X, according to reporting by Katherine Li for Business Insider.
Following the president's lead
Benioff represents the second major technology executive to align with this week's rebranding momentum. Elon Musk announced on Sunday that SpaceX's AI division would be renamed SpaceXSI.
Both corporate decisions reflect Donald Trump's campaign to displace the term artificial intelligence with super intelligence throughout official usage. An executive order signed on 29 September directed federal agencies to adopt this terminology in their official documents and digital properties.
Though the order carries no legal weight for private enterprises, Trump escalated his push on Thursday with a more pointed message.
"Anyone who still says "artificial intelligence" is "THE ENEMY," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
A name is not a threshold
The technical definition of superintelligence typically refers to systems demonstrating capabilities substantially exceeding human performance across numerous domains. A product rename, however, provides no evidence that such a system has actually achieved this level of advancement, Business Insider pointed out.
The rebranding trend creates an uncomfortable position for companies whose identities are built around the term AI. OpenAI and Scale AI both declined to comment when Business Insider sought their response.
