The Paris-based cybersecurity firm Fleuret AI has announced a €4 million pre-seed funding round to scale its platform for automating penetration testing through agentic artificial intelligence. RAISE Ventures led the investment, joined by Auriga Cyber Ventures, Wind, Better Angle and several cybersecurity sector angels.
Fleuret AI, founded by Yanis Grigy as CEO and Augustin Ponsin as CTO, is building a system that reimagines penetration testing as an ongoing process rather than a one-time assessment. The platform operates across five core functions: discovering exposed systems, spotting vulnerabilities, validating exploitability, assisting with fixes, and confirming remediation success.
The startup is tackling a fundamental mismatch in how modern security operates. Most organisations deploy updates and infrastructure changes continuously, yet traditional penetration tests remain episodic snapshots. New deployments frequently reshape the attack surface within days of a security assessment, leaving gaps undetected.
Fleuret AI addresses this through two AI agents named Emile and Champollion, which map corporate environments, probe applications, APIs and infrastructure, and test whether discovered vulnerabilities can actually be exploited. Each finding includes proof of compromise demonstrating real-world exploitability.
Beyond initial testing, the platform continuously scans the attack surface and triggers fresh assessments whenever systems change. Additional capabilities include vulnerability ranking by exploitability, integration with teams' existing tools, automated re-testing and reports verifying fixes have been applied.
We don't just want to automate pentesting as it exists today. Our ambition is to build the offensive cybersecurity layer that will allow companies, whatever their size, to stay secure all year round. This funding gives us the means to accelerate that vision and build a platform designed from the ground up for enterprise environments
Yanis Grigy, CEO and co-founder of Fleuret AI
The company is concentrating on the European market, aiming to democratise offensive security capabilities for organisations lacking resources for frequent penetration testing. A key differentiator is that Fleuret AI operates its AI agents from European data centres on European infrastructure, addressing data sovereignty concerns especially relevant in regulated industries.
The capital will fund team expansion in AI engineering, software development and offensive security expertise, while accelerating platform maturation for enterprise deployment.
