Bridging the gap between laboratory discoveries and commercial applications remains a persistent obstacle for many organisations. Valuable information sits fragmented across academic journals, patent databases, research centres, corporate records, and trade publications, making it hard for businesses to track technological shifts and seize market openings. The hunt for suitable collaborators or end-users typically demands laborious investigation work, which slows down decision-making and revenue growth.
Prismus, a deeptech venture, has just secured €163,000 (CHF 150,000) in funding from Venture Kick to expand Lupa, an artificial intelligence system designed to merge scientific and commercial data into a unified, searchable resource. The platform's AI agents examine interconnected information sources to spot and prioritise relevant sectors, organisations, scientists, and prospective collaborators according to their technical alignment. By delivering traceable conclusions supported by documented evidence, Lupa enables firms to make well-grounded choices and uncover possibilities that standard research approaches might miss.
The venture has already attracted thirty paying clients. The fresh capital will enable the company to expand its presence in the deeptech sector and recruit more individual subscribers.
Leadership comprises Elisabeth Blyumin as chief executive, Timen van Gelderen as chief technology officer, Gonçalo Hora de Carvalho as chief AI officer, and Peter Kempin as chief revenue officer. Their combined backgrounds span artificial intelligence, engineering, and commercial strategy.
VentureKick has excited us, challenged us and pushed us into the next phase of our company. In particular, the Kickers Camps were intense and rewarding to complete.
