A London startup has closed a $5 million funding round as it enters the market with technology designed to democratise access to business data across organisations. Querio's backers include BMW i Ventures, Haatch, Arāya Ventures, Forum Ventures and Secways.

Founded in 2024, the company tackles a growing problem: as employees increasingly turn to generative AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to answer business questions, they often receive conflicting information. Data teams then waste resources trying to reconcile these discrepancies rather than pursuing strategic work.

Querio's platform gives data teams a centralised location to review and manage business data in an understandable format. The startup's AI agents detect inconsistencies, refresh definitions and refresh reports to maintain uniformity across the organisation.

According to Rami Abi Habib, co-founder and CEO, "For thirty years, analytics tools have kept a company's logic inside the vendor's product, where it's hard to move and hard for AI to work with. Now everyone is asking data questions in Claude, Slack and wherever else they work, and they get three different revenue numbers. We built Querio so the data team owns that logic, and every AI tool in the company answers from it."

Abi Habib provided an example of how the platform operates in practice: "Say sales renames a field in the CRM. The revenue dashboard breaks, the Slack bot says no deals closed last week, and Claude gives a third number. With Querio, the agent spots the change, fixes everything that depends on it and sends the data team one update to approve. After that, every tool gives the same answer."

The capital raised will support further development of Querio's technology.
